Annah "Beth" Landrum

December 10, 1938 — July 26, 2018

Annah “Beth” Price Landrum, 79, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018, in Waco, Texas, following a brief illness.

A resident of Buffalo, Texas, Beth was born on December 10, 1938, in Norway, South Carolina to William Rodney and Wessie Gossette Price. She was raised in South Carolina and Fernandina Beach, Florida. After graduating from Fernandina Beach High School, she attended Betsy Tiff College. In 1956, she married Donald Ray Landrum of Abilene, Texas, where they made their first home until moving to Fernandina Beach to raise their three children, William Steven, Charles Randall and Angela Rae. In 1971, Beth and her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where they would reside until 1976, when they returned to Texas, making their home in Houston.

While in Houston, Beth was a dedicated church member and volunteer of Spring Woods Baptist Church, taking a leading role in youth programs, bible study and church leadership groups. Fueled by her lifelong belief in the saving power of Jesus Christ and love of family and service to others, Beth continued her volunteer activities throughout her entire life.

In 1982, Beth and her husband returned to Georgia, living in Atlanta, and eventually building a rustic cabin in the Georgia mountains. She was drawn to the natural beauty of the area, and was an active member in the Mt. Airy Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, Georgia. Beth and her husband returned to Texas in 1988 to be closer to their adult children and grandchildren. They resided in Dallas for a few years before retiring to the hilly, forested countryside between Centerville and Buffalo. Beth embraced small town life and sharing her deep faith, especially with children. She was a charter member of the Centerville Good News Club, an afterschool Christian outreach program, and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Beth was also active in local community service.

Over the years, Beth and her husband enjoyed traveling around the world, visiting Hawaii, the Caribbean, Spain and England. Ever the lover of the ocean, each summer she and her husband enjoyed traveling back to Fernandina Beach, to reconnect with family and spend time with their children and grandchildren during annual beach vacations.

An avid antiques collector, Beth was gifted at spotting antique collectibles and furnishings, and was known for her exquisite decorating style. Her hobby led to having her own antique shop in Centerville.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, William Rodney Price, Wessie Gossette Price; her sister, Dixie Jo Price; her brothers, Bill Price, Marney Price; her sisters-in-law, Linda Price and Carolyn Sutton Price; and her grandson, William Joshua Landrum.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Donald Landrum; her brothers, Alva Price and Randy Price; her son, Steven Landrum and wife, Melissa; her son, Randy Landrum; her daughter Angela Mousner and husband Mark; grandchildren Chantelle Peavey and husband Mike, Caye Landrum Richards and husband, Alan, Grant Landrum, Austin Mousner, Blair Landrum, Cole Landrum, Bryan Mousner; and great-grandchildren Logan Richards, Jaycie Peavey and Bailey Peavey.
