Eula Simes

Eula Faye Hall-Simes, 90, of Tomball and Magnolia,Texas was born May 15, 1927 at the family homestead of parents Marvin and Ruth Hall in Jozye, Texas, Madison County. She was the first of ten children. She lived in the Galena Park and Houston, Texas areas for over 71 years. She retired to her dream home and land in the early 1980's. While raising her two children with her husband, Otha Harlon Simes of Bedias, Texas, she worked for several companies and had to medically retire from M.E.T.I.L.S., Inc. Eula Faye was active in Galena Park Baptist, Elwood Baptist and other local Madisonville churches as long as she was physically able. She enjoyed working in her garden, cooking and baking for family and friends, and quilting with her friends. Her family was only second to God and she loved everyone dearly. She had stated she was ready to be with God and her husband, Harlon, and passed away on the morning of July 14, 2017.

Surviving family includes her daughter, Charlotte Faye Simes-Hambley and son-in-law, Gordon Stuart Hambley; grandson, David W. Simes and family; one brother, Curtis Hall and sister-in-law, Darlene Blake-Hall. and one sister, Juanell Hall; sister-in-law, Mary Simes-Garland and brother-in-law, William Garland. She has many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, and they loved her. Eula Faye was preceded in death by her husband of almost 67 years, Harlon Simes; her son, David Wilbur Simes; father Marvin Hall; mother Ruth Hall; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

A visitation for family and friends is planned for 11 a.m. on the morning of Monday, July 17, 2017 at Madisonville Funeral Home, 1511 East Main, Madisonville, Texas 77864, with a funeral service to follow at 12 noon. A brief graveside service will be held at Bedias Baptist Cemetery after the funeral services for those that wish to attend.
