Rosemary Ada Piske

Funeral services for Rosemary Ada Piske, age 70, of Buffalo have been set for 1 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo. Rev. Alan Grisham will officiate and burial will be in the Buffalo City Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Monday evening, December 5, 2016 from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Walters Buffalo Funeral Home.
Rosemary Piske was born January 2, 1946 in Spring, Texas to Johnny and Rose (Bonin) Golden. She was a homemaker for much of her life but, later in life, worked as a Correctional Officer and retired from T.D.J.C. She has lived in Buffalo since 1995 having moved here from Woodville. Rosemary was part of a large, closely knit family. She was the second Mom to several nieces and nephews as well as Mom to her own children. She was the Keeper of Knowledge about her family and was the go to person when a family member needed information of any kind about her family. Until her health failed her recently, Rosemary took care of her elderly mother. She was known to her family as Sister. To nieces and nephews, she was Aunt Sister. She loved to be busy. She was a great cook and loved baking cookies for her grandchildren.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Billy Gene Piske, Sr., owner of Billys Tire Service and four brothers, Pete Golden, John Golden, Babe Henry Golden and Donnie Golden. She passed away in Tyler on December 2, 2016. Her surviving family includes her mother, Rose Golden; a daughter, Katherine Renee' Smalley of San Antonio; son, Billy G. Piske, Jr. (his wife, Cynthia) of Lumberton, Texas; a sister, Margie Cofer of Livingston; grandchildren, Christian Smalley, Megan Smalley, Aiden Smalley and Derek Piske and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers: Aiden Smalley and Christian Smalley (grandsons), John "Ernie" Simank, Eugene "Carl" St. Thomas and Will Evans (nephews) and Andrew Evans (great nephew).
