Carrie A McCleney, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully passed away on December 31, 2023, in Conroe, Texas at the age of 79. Born on April 23, 1944 in McAllen, Texas to Johnnie Wayland, Sr. & Ina Ruth (Sugg) Beasley, Carrie touched the lives of all who knew her with her kind spirit and gentle nature. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Carrie spent a significant part of her life in Centerville, Texas, from 1986 to 2007 before moving to Huntsville, where she resided until her passing. As a dedicated mother, she lovingly raised her children in Houston, Texas, infusing their lives with warmth and encouragement.

Carrie shared her life with her late husband, Glenn "Bill" McCleney, for thirty-five vibrant years. Together, they built a strong foundation of love and support, creating countless cherished memories that will forever be held dear by their family and friends.

In her younger years, Carrie found solace and joy in the tranquility of fishing. Whether casting her line over calm waters or sharing stories with loved ones by the riverbank, her love for the outdoors knew no bounds.

Carrie's adventurous spirit also led her to indulge in the wonders of travel. She found immense joy in exploring new places, with a special fondness for Galveston and its sandy shores. Basking in the beauty of the beach, her spirit found peace in the rhythm of the waves.

A woman of compassion and generosity, Carrie was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her selflessness and kind heart touched many lives and left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Carrie was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Glenn William "Bill" McCleney, Sr.; son, Glenn William McCleney, Jr.; brother, Johnnie Wayland Beasley, Jr., and grandsons, Jacoby Arollo and Darius Quinlan.
