Frances Kramer Turner

Frances Kramer Turner "Fran", 73, of Centerville, passed away December 11, 2020. She was born February 15, 1947, in Texas. She raised her children, worked and lived many years in Virginia, but she always considered Texas her home. Fran retired from a career as a hair stylist. She truly enjoyed making others look and feel their best while holding a running conversation about life. Every customer became a new friend. During her retirement she could often be found painting, working in her garden, or playing with her dogs. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. Her eyes were the brightest and smile the biggest when she was with them.

Her health battles spanned the last 16 years, yet she rarely showed pain, fear or complaint. She never quit fighting because she was determined to watch her grandchildren grow up. She possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With her courage she led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. She would often say it was a good day simply because she woke up alive. Her laugh was infectious, and her wit sharp. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched. Fran's spirit lives on and we firmly believe she is now watching over all those she loved.

Fran is survived by her husband, Carl Turner of Centerville, TX; daughters, Mrs. Shannon Gies of Manassas, VA. and husband Bill, Mrs. Shandra Greenwood of Conroe, TX. and husband David, Ms. Shandee Kramer, of Spring, TX, stepson Cody Turner of Coolville, OH., brothers Bill Johnston and Jim Johnston and her beloved grandchildren; Will Gies, Shelley Gies, Sherrie Gies, Jacquelyn Greenwood, Katelyn Greenwood, Joshua Kramer, Stormee Hilton, Lucas Turner, and Eliza Turner.

Arrangements were under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
