Gus Paul Tschatschula, Jr. was born on September 9, 1945 in LaGrange, Texas to Gus Paul, Sr. & Marion Marie (Orsak) Tschatschula. He lived in Houston, Texas most of his life where he owned T.N.T. Auto Rebuilders, a paint and body shop, and was in business for thirty-two years. In 2004, he moved to the Old Bowling Community in Leon County, Texas.
Gus was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also had an knack for being able to fix and build just about anything. Gus especially loved time spent with his family and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also a dedicated member of the Flynn Volunteer Fire Department and Catholic in faith.
Gus passed away on October 19, 2017 in Bryan, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, David Tschatschula; brother-in-law, Gary Hansen and niece, Candace Howard. Surviving family members are wife, Diane Tschatschula of the Old Bowling Community; sons, Randy Tschatschula (Helen) of Cypress and Kevin Tschatschula (Lesley) of Houston; daughter, Debra Smith (Dennis) of Waller and sister, Theresa Guinn (Mike) of Magnolia. Gus is also survived by grandchildren, Allen Konieczny (Kasey), Robert Smith (Amanda), Griffyn Tschatschula, Quinn Tschatschula, Caleb Tschatschula, Greyson Tschatschula and Reid Tschatschula and great grandchildren, Sydney, Jacob, Emmery, Alexis and Abigail.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. A funeral mass will be held at 4 P.M. the following day, October 29th, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Centerville.
Walters Funeral Home in Centerville is in charge of all arrangements.
