Jennifer Ann Hennard, 37, of Concord, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas.


Jennifer was born on November 29, 1978 in Madisonville, Texas to William, Sr. and Frankie Jean (Moon) Hennard. She lived all of her life in Concord, Leon County, Texas. Jennifer graduated from Leon High School in 1997. She also attended Nursing School at Navarro College and graduated from Texas A & M University at Commerce with a degree in Elementary Education. Jennifer was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She had many interests including reading, cooking, arts and crafts, trying new restaurants and spending time with her family.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Walter Vernon "Son" Moon and paternal grandparents, Willie G. & Dollie Hennard. She is survived by her parents, William, Sr. & Frankie Jean Hennard of Concord; grandmother, Bonnie Moon of Willis; brother, William "Bubba" Hennard, Jr. & wife, Amy, of College Station; sisters, Martha Hennard & Wendy Hennard of Concord; nephews, Cody Hammock & Ricky Ashley; nieces, Alyssa & Amanda Hennard and a host of other friends and relatives.

Jennifer will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services for Jennifer have been set for 3 P.M., Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Bro. Ray Payne, pastor of Ephesus Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery, west of Centerville, in Concord, Texas. A public visitation will take place on Tuesday evening from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Roberts, Harlan Gressett, Mikey Gressett, Randall Hollis, Johnny Furlow & Johnathan Schakel. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Moon & Kelvin Thornton.

Walters Funeral Home in Centerville is in charge of all arrangements.
