Kenneth "Scott" Isbell

May 17, 1957 — February 24, 2021

Scott Isbell, 63, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with his family by his side Wednesday, February 24, 2021, having succumbed to Alzheimer’s Disease following a brave and valiant battle.

Funeral services for Scott will be held 3 P.M., Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Pastor Wade Phillips will officiate the service. Interment will ensue at Concord Cemetery, Concord, Texas. The Isbell family will receive friends Saturday evening, February 27th from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Kenneth “Scott” Isbell was born in Houston, Texas May 17, 1957 to Kenneth T. & Shirley “Jean” (Williams) Isbell. He was employed at Nucor Steel for a number of years before pursuing entrepreneurship as the owner of a steel operation located on his own property.

Scott enjoyed traveling, especially trips to the Frio River, snow skiing, four-wheeling, fishing, and hunting. He had lived in Leon County, Texas for the past thirty-four years.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth T. Isbell. Surviving family members include wife, Carol Isbell of Robbins; mother, Jean Isbell of Robbins; daughter, Amy (Isbell) Smith & husband, Brad, of Normangee; brother, Alan Isbell of Centerville; sister, Donna (Isbell) Payne & husband, Mark, of Robbins; nephew, Shane Isbell & wife, Lynne and nieces, Lindsey Watson & husband, Corby, Casey Smith and Allison Smith. He is also survived by mother-in-law, Peggy Osborne and brother-in-law, Clark Osborne & wife, Lisa, along with their children, Michael & Jonathan.

Pallbearers: Shane Isbell, Brad Smith, Larry Hannon, Steve Davis, Don Ferguson, Allen Garner

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Centerville Fire Department, Alzheimer’s Association and Leon County Food Pantry.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
