Larry Swarthout, age 68, peacefully passed away July 24, 2023 in Centerville, Texas. A time of visitation and reflection will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.

Larry Eugene Swarthout was born June 1, 1954 in Houston, Texas. His parents were Harold & Joyce (Ridenour) Swarthout. Larry had worked a number of jobs throughout his life and had lived in Leon County for the past forty-six years. He enjoyed fishing and loved his dog, "Blackie."

Larry was preceded in death by both of his parents; daughter, Stacey Swarthout and great-grandson, Maddox Drummond. He is survived by son, Michael Swarthout & wife, Lucy; grandchildren, Michael Drummond (Payton), Sherry Kirk (David) and Taylor Swarthout (Anita); great-grandchildren, Memphis, Rhett, Grace, Treon, Zaylon and Ruthieann; brother, Mike Swarthout and sisters, Sandy Asbridge and Cheryl Burks, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
