Mary Louise Jones

Funeral services for Mary Louise Jones, 5 days shy of her 98th birthday, of Centerville, Texas, will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Jeff Vincent will officiate the service followed by interment in the Centerville Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M., Friday, August 17th at the funeral home.

Mary Louise (Baker) Jones was born August 18, 1920 in Ada, Oklahoma to Arthur Alvah & Idell Leatha (Cassidy) Baker. She was a graduate of Ada High School and had excelled in softball as a pitcher in Ada and Ardmore. Mary married Jack Wiley Jones June 8, 1941. Together they served as missionaries in Aarhus, Denmark 1966 to 1968. They also had the opportunity to travel all over the world and visit places such as, Belgium, Canada, China, England, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Malaysia, Norway, Scotland, Singapore, Sweden and Wales, as well as, twenty-nine of the fifty United States. Mary was a long-time member of the Church of Christ in Centerville. She and her late husband had lived in Centerville since 1989. Mary passed away August 13, 2018 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Jones; infant son, Jackie Lloyd Jones; son, Charles Glenn Jones; brother, Charles Lee Baker; daughter-in-law, Jackie Duncanson and grandson, Winston Campise. Mary is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Surviving family members include daughter, Candace "Candy" (Jones) Campise of Centerville; “special daughters” Shirl (Harvey) Williams of Centerville and Carolyn (Dunbar) Mathis of Dallas; daughters-in-law, Carol Jones of Connecticut and Mary Jones of Bacliff; sister-in-law, Sandy (Jones) Hall of Humble; grandchildren, Tracy Stefano (husband, Joe), Charlene Graziano, Travis Jones (wife, Kim), Molina Jones, Max Campise and Dallas Campise and great grandchildren, Austin Stefano, Tristan Holt, Kaylie Holt, Cayleb Jones, Colton Jones and Cameron Jones (due in December).
