Mel Melissa was born on Feb. 12, 1969 in Madisonville TX to Leland and Barbara Corley. Such a loving and wonderful daughter she has been. Melissa was raised and attended school in Madisonville. In Madisonville is where she met her husband Chris. On April 25, 1987 Melissa married the love of her life and soul mate Chris Spadoni.
Melissa worked at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Huntsville until she and Chris started their family. For the next 13 yrs., Melissa a chose to stay at home to become a full time wife and mother to their two precious daughters Kayla and Caroline. It was during this time that she was also able to travel with Chris on his job. When Melissa wasnt traveling she spent many hours working on their ranch and farm. She didnt know the word being tired or I cant do that, She just did it all with such pleasure in her accomplishments. Melissa never bragged or expected praise for what she had done, she just did it and moved on to the next task.
Melissa had returned to the workforce as a receptionist at Madison St. Joseph Health Center. She loved her job and coworkers who referred to her as Sweet Melissa .
Melissa loved being a mother and taking the girls to school and to sports events. It was always mom, did you see me? Melissas greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. Being Chriss love and soul mate, he took excellent care of her to the very last day.
Melissa had such a sweet and loving personality. She had touched and enriched so many lives during her short time on earth. Her smile will always be with us and leaves a void that will never be filled.
Chris would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Hillary Carnell and Debbie Rogers at Madison St. Joseph Health Point Clinic, Traditions Home Health Care and Hospice for all the excellent care that they provided . Also to Melissas supervisor, Pam Harris and Madisonville Wal Mart Pharmacy and staff. He also wants to thank friends and family for their, prayers, cards and phone calls to check on Melissa.
