Mike Barnett, founder of Keechi Creek Outfitters and Game Calls passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at his home in Centerville, Texas. Mike suffered a stroke several years ago and continued to battle associated issues on a daily basis.

Mike was born September 24, 1956 in Texas City, Texas to A.C. & Helen (Medley) Barnett. Along with Johnny Knight, Mike was also co-proprietor and namesake for "Mama Mike's" restaurant in 1992.

Many have known Mike through his association with hunting waterfowel, Labradors, squirrel dogs and related items. He was a strong guy who enjoyed the outdoors more than anyone could imagine and was also legendary for his cooking skills.
