Mitchell Ryan Payne, 2 months and 3 days old, was cradled to heaven in the arms of his heavenly father November 23, 2023. A graveside service celebrating his life will be held at 2 P.M., Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Old Bowling Cemetery in the Old Bowling Community of Leon County, Texas. Pastor Tony Moye, of First Baptist Church, Centerville, Texas, will officiate the service.
Mitchell Ryan Payne was born September 20, 2023 in College Station, Texas to adoring parents, Steven Ryan & Stacey Leigh (Lagrone) Payne. He filled everyone's heart with joy and was deeply loved by so many.
Mitchell, or Mitch as he had been lovingly nicknamed, had the sweetest disposition. He could sleep through just about anything and loved to cuddle. His smile melted the hearts of those around him. He was the greatest gift God ever gave to us, and our lives will forever be changed because of his little life.
Mitchell was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Pete & Edith Lagrone and Harold & Opal Ellis and paternal great-grandparents, Don & Rita Payne and Jerry Bell, Sr.
Mitchell will be missed and cherished by his parents, Ryan & Stacey Payne of Madisonville; maternal grandparents, John & Cheryl Lagrone of Concord; paternal grandparents, Steven & Kim Payne of Old Bowling; paternal great-grandmother, Alice Bell of Leona; aunts & uncles, Kelsey (Jared) Moore of Alto, Kevin (Katharine) Lagrone of Troy, Blake (Rachel) Payne of Marquez and Joshua (Lauren) Payne of Tomball and cousins, Krisley & Truett Payne and McKenna & Cade Moore, as well as numerous extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Old Bowling Cemetery, c/o Cindy Payne, 13387 CR 344, Marquez, Texas 77865
Final arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
