Neta Faye Hall

Neta Faye (Rook) Hall was born in Waco, Texas, July 2, 1936 to Marion O’Neta (Winn) Rook and Richard Leeland Rook. Neta Faye grew up in Marquez and lived most of her adult life there raising a family. After marrying Don Hall, they moved to Rockdale for a time, but ended up back in Marquez. In later life when health issues deemed it necessary, Neta Faye and Don moved to Bryan.

Neta Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Neta & Darwin Grayson and Leeland & Elsie Rook; granddaughters, Missy, Heather & Taylor and grandson, Payden.

She is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Don Hall; children, Richard Hines, Diane Garrett, Jennie Sketers, Melinda Espe and Mitchel Hines, Donna McGee and husband, David, Sherry Bell and husband, Steve, Don Hall, Jr. and wife, Barbara, Dean Hall, Shirley Alexander and husband, Jimmy, Debra Gersbach and Karen Smith; brother, Richard Rook and wife, DeeAnn; sister, Patricia Chase and husband, Levi. She is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren and one great, great grandchild, Jentry, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

Neta Faye passed away December 9, 2018 following a lengthy illness at the age of eighty-two years. Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Marquez Baptist Church in Marquez, Texas. Pastor Billy Bob Evans will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Marquez Cemetery. A public visitation will take place Wednesday night from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
