Newton Nolley Cook

Newton Nolley Cook of Midway, Texas passed away on December 1, 2016 at the Huntsville Memorial Hospital at the age of 71. Newton was born in Dallas, Texas on December 6, 1944 to Myrtle Nolley and Gordon Cook.


He grew up in the Wilmer-Hutchins area and received a degree from Sam Houston State University.


Newton enjoyed watching all sports, especially football. He also served his country in the United States Army. Newton lived most of his life in Madison County, Texas.


A visitation was held Saturday, December 3rd from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Madisonville Funeral Home with services taking place on Sunday, December 4th at 2 P.M. Burial will follow in the Midway Cemetery.


Newton was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nettie Cook and a daughter, Nancy Christine Cook. He is survived by a son, Kelly Cook and his wife, Tracy, of Madisonville; a daughter, Karen Navarro and her, husband Marty of Madisonville; brother, Kenny Cook and his wife, Tanya, of Carrolton and Gordon Cook of Oakwood; sister, Suellen Brown of Forney; grandchildren, Randall Navarro, Wesley Navarro and Amber Michalk and great grandchildren, Jaylen, Grayson & Triston Gipson.


Madisonville Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
