Richard Ezell Walston, Sr.

Richard Ezell Walston, Sr. was born December 9, 1942 in Flour Bluff, Texas to Ezell & Martha Melba (Melat) Walston. He graduated from Tarkington High School and worked for Anheuser-Busch in the brewing department for thirty-five years.

Richard enjoyed farming and taking care of his cattle. He also enjoyed growing a beautiful vegetable garden every year. He attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Buffalo, Texas. Richard had lived in Marquez since 2003, coming from Tarkington, Texas. He passed away December 5, 2019 at his home.

Richard was preceded in death by both of his parents and sister, Evelyn Walston. Surviving family members are sons, Richard “Rick” Walston, Jr. of Montrose, Colorado and Brandon Walston of Conroe, Texas and four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jaxon, Keefer & Dillon Walston.

A memorial service for Richard will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1518 N. Buffalo Ave., Buffalo Texas 75831.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
