Ronald Lee Cude

November 28, 1945 — July 6, 2017

Ronald Lee Cude was born November 28, 1945 in Houston to Erwin and Vaurine (Simpson) Cude. He worked much of his life as a longshoreman at the Houston Shipyards. He was a proud owner of a 1957 Chevy and enjoyed going to car shows. He could make furniture and especially liked to work with cedar. Mr. Cude also enjoyed fishing and just sitting on the front porch with his wife. For about fourteen years, Mr. Cude and his wife, Marie, lived near Marquez, Texas in Leon County. At the time of his death, he was living in Splendora. Mr. Cude passed away on July 6, 2017 in Humble. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters, Connie Billingsley and Carolyn Smitherman.
His surviving family includes his wife, Marie Cude of Splendora; a daughter, Sherri Inboden and her husband, Jeffrey, of Porter; four step-sons, Jason Fails and his wife, Cynthia, of Cleveland, Troy Fails and his wife, Christine of Splendora, Josh Johnson and his wife, Angie, of New Caney and Cory Johnson and his wife, Jennifer Johnson, of Splendora; three step-daughters, Cynthia Davis and her husband, Wayne, of Splendora, Bridgette Osborne of Amarillo, and Sandra Scarborough and her husband, Jerry, of Splendora and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Ronald Cude have been set for 3 PM, Monday, July 10, 2017 at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Bro. Jim Bob Gunnels will officiate and burial will be in the Concord Cemetery in west Leon County. A short time of visitation is scheduled at the funeral home before the funeral and will run from 1 PM until 3 PM.
Serving as pallbearers: Anthony Stanhope, Cory Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Jerry Scarborough, Jeffrey Inboden and Randall Billingsley.
