Ronnie Dale "Bobo" Duke

Ronnie Dale Duke, 68, affectionately known as “BoBo,” passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 25, 2018. BoBo was born to George Lee and Merle (Damon) Duke May 28, 1950 in Centerville, Texas. He moved to Waxahachie, Texas in 1971 with his parents where he resided at the time of his death with his beloved Mama. BoBo faced the many challenges life brought him strong-willed. His Mama cared for him his entire life and catered to his every whim until he took his last breath. She was truly his world, as he was also hers BoBo truly brought joy to everyone’s lives and was always a pleasure to be around. Though all who loved him are heartbroken at the loss of their earthly angel, comfort is received in knowing their BoBo has gained his heavenly wings and has been reunited with his Pop.

BoBo was preceded in death by his father, George Lee Duke and his grandparents, Henry and Emma Duke and Harmon and Mirty Damon.

He is survived by his loving Mama, Merle (Damon) Duke; sister and brother-in-law, Fay & Gary Davis; sister, Cathy Barnes, all of Waxahachie; nephew, Ronald Jones of Longview; niece, Amy Davis (Ernie) of Waxahachie; great nephew, Landon Jernigan and great nieces, Laighton Jernigan and Hannah Jones. BoBo is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of BoBo’s life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the New Salem Cemetery Chapel in the Centerview Community of Leon County, Texas with an interment following at New Salem Cemetery, adjacent to the chapel.

Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is entrusted with final arrangements.
