Ruby Mae Spurlock

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Mae Jackson Spurlock, age 91, of Midway, Texas have been set for 1 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Antioch Church of Christ on Hwy 21, Madisonville. Rev. Howard Watson, Sr. will be officiating at the service and burial will follow the service in the Midway Southside Cemetery. A time of public viewing and visitation will be held on Friday evening, March 24, 2017 from 6 pm until 8 pm at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville.
Ruby Mae Jackson Spurlock was born to John Jackson and Lillie Bell (Franklin) Jackson in Midway, Madison County, Texas on March 8, 1926. She lived most of her life in Madison County and was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ. She was a cook in a restaurant. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Penny Mae Jackson and Phyllis Jackson; two brothers, O.L. Jackson and Gilbert Jackson and a daughter, Nettie Sue Bailey. Ms. Ruby Mae passed away on March 14, 2017 in the St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan, Texas.
Ruby Mae is survived by a son, Ocie Goffney of Livingston; six daughters, Ruby White of Los Angeles, California, Dorothy Walker of Midway, Texas, Catherine McCullough of Madisonville, Texas Edna Goffney of Midway, Texas, Katherine McGinnis and Annette Sterling of Los Angeles, California; two sisters, Odessa Jackson of Midway, Texas and Leola Nealey of Madisonville, Texas and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.
