Funeral services for Tommy Ray Pierce, 71, will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Cowboy Church of Leon County. Pastor of the church, Tuffy Loftin, will officiate, and interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery. A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the church.

Tommy Ray Pierce was born April 24, 1950 in Palestine, Texas to Billy Lewis & Lucy Lillian (Robinson) Pierce. He was a graduate of Centerville High School, a member of First Baptist Church and lived most of his life in Centerville. Tommy was a master of fixing just about anything and was able to build whatever he set his mind to building. However, his abilities didn’t stop there. Tommy was artistic with a fantastic ability to draw and paint, as well as musically talented. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Tommy passed away September 17, 2021 in Bryan, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Melissa (Douget) Pierce; son, Tommy Christian “Chris” Pierce and grandparents, Samuel “Buck” Burroughs & Robbie (Hopson) Pierce and William “Willie” Bryan & Quida (Ward) Robinson.

Surviving family members include daughter-in-law, Shalesha Pierce of Richmond; grandson, Asa Pierce of Richmond; brother, Bobby Pierce & wife, Sharon of Centerville; sister, Patricia Hammock & husband, Eddie of Centerville; sister-in-law, Michelle Clossin & family; brother-in-law, Donnie Douget & family; special double cousins, Samuel Pierce & wife, Teresa & Robbie Ferguson & husband, Don; nieces, Bonnie Swindell & husband, Justin; Sarah Stone & husband, Ryan; nephews, Drew Pierce & Jeremy Hammock & wife, Morgan; special cousin, Jamie Ferguson; great nieces & nephews, Kaede Thomas, Carter Stone, Clayton Stone, Lonnie Hammock & Jenson Hammock and special four-legged friend, Tippy.
