Bettie Sue Burleson Pena, 75, of Pasadena, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2019. Bettie Sue was born January 29, 1944 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Loreatha (Crow) Burleson and Ralph P. Burleson.

Bettie Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Loreatha Crow Burleson and Ralph P. Burleson; aunts, Nina and Elwanda; brother, Paul Burleson and son, Mark Edgar Myers.

Bettie Sue is survived by her husband of 37 years, Miguel A. Pena; brothers, Lynn R. Burleson and Edward Burleson; uncle, Finis Welch; her children, Robert L. Myers IV, Loreatha Myers Stringer and Sonja J. Myers Falcon; grandchildren, Priscilla N. Jackson, Jessica J. Jackson, Anthony R. Myers, Matthew J. Strange, Rachel T. Strange, Sydney M. Strange, and Ava K Myers.; great-grandchildren, Jesse D. E. Gardin, Justin L. Bruce and Juliette L. Bruce; first cousins Brenda Tausworthe and David Tausworthe, on mother’s side.

The funeral service for Bettie Sue will be held at 6:00 P.M., Monday, October 7, 2019, at Niday-Fairmont Funeral Home in Pasadena with visitation prior to the service starting at 4:00 P.M. A service will be held the following day at 1 P.M. at the New Salem Chapel in the Centerview Community of Leon County, Texas.
