Betty Jean Waltmon

Funeral services for Betty Jean (Miller) Waltmon, age 79, of Marquez will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Bro. Jerry Chandler will officiate the service. A brief visitation will take place that morning from 9 A.M. to service time at the funeral home. Graveside services will take place 2 P.M. that afternoon in Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

Pallbearers: Brandon Waltmon, Cameron Waltmon, Justin Waltmon, Ryan Waltmon, Chris Greer, Keith Mullins

Betty Jean (Miller) Waltmon was born July 20, 1943 in Ganado, Texas to Wilburn & Cleveland "Pearl" (Dollery) Miller. She was a devoted homemaker and caregiver to her family her entire life. Betty enjoyed cooking and raising flowers in her greenhouse, as well as feeding the many hummingbirds that came to visit her home. Betty also enjoyed traveling extensively. She especially held a deep affection for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she enjoyed visiting with them as much as she was able.

Betty passed away July 22, 2022 in Bryan, Texas following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Surviving family members include husband of fifty-eight years, James "Larry" Waltmon of Marquez; sons, James D. Waltmon (Norma) of Houston and Jonathan "Jon" Waltmon of Marquez; brother, Wilburn Miller (Phyllis) of Leona; sister, Frances Crowson (Norman) of Houston; grandchildren, Sammy Clarke, Brandon Waltmon (Alexis), Cameron Waltmon, Justin Waltmon (Madison), Ryan Waltmon and great-grandson, Maverick Waltmon, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
