Betty Ruth Edwards, age 62, of Centerville, Texas passed away December 9, 2022 in College Station, Texas following a brief illness. Graveside services honoring her life will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Evans Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Glenn Connor will officiate the service.

Betty was born October 14, 1960 in Houston, Texas to Homer & Patricia (McIver) Edwards. She held various jobs and had last worked in the Home Equity Division for a law firm. Betty was a family person. She deeply cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a crafty person and enjoyed crocheting. She had lived in Centerville for the past year and loved her time there, often relating the small, close-knit town to her favorite show, "Gilmore Girls."

Betty was preceded in death by both of her parents; brother, William Joseph Edwards; sister, Pamela Diane Melton and sister-in-law, Lyda Marie Edwards.

Surviving family members include beloved daughters, Christy Porter of Centerville and Misty Schiller (Christopher) of Alabama; brother, Sam Edwards of Humble; grandchildren, Morgan Hailey Edwards, Britney Gash, Brianna Waterworth and Brooke Schiller and great-grandson, Dakota Gash, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
