Funeral services for Brandon Mackens, 15, of North Zulch, will take place at 3 P.M., Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Madisonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Willowhole Cemetery. A public visitation will be held from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. on Wednesday, October 26th at the Madisonville Funeral Home.

Brandon Eugene Mackens was born on August 15, 2001 in Clarksville, Tennessee to Bradley Noel & Jessica Lynn (Miner) Mackens. He was in the eighth grade at the North Zulch High School and was loved by all of his friends. Brandon enjoyed the sport of baseball. He had lived in North Zulch for the past two years, coming from Clarksville, Tennessee. Brandon passed away tragically on Saturday, October 22, 2016 near Caldwell, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Bradley Mackens and paternal grandmother, Brenda Mackens. Brandon will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Surviving family members include mother, Jessica Lynn Mackens of North Zulch; paternal grandfather, Noel Mackens; maternal grandparents, Ralph & Vennitta Miner; brothers, Levi & Joseph Jo Jo Mackens of North Zulch & sister, Lynzie Mackens of North Zulch.

Serving as pallbearers will be Levi Mackens, Justin Miner, Brady ONeal, Tyler Sanchez, Montanna Kay, Tyler Helton, Zach Gaither & Weston Wolfe.

Madisonville Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
