Carol Lee Hall was born on July 22, 1937 in Crooksville, Ohio to Floyd & Virginia "Vinnie" (Wood) Eppley. While she held many jobs throughout her life, Carol considered her most important job a homemaker. Her husband was a military man, which forced them to move quite often, and Carol was always by his side as his partner to help in whatever capacity she could. She enjoyed cooking, canning and baking, as well as, making ceramics, sewing blankets and making quilts for her grandchildren. When she wasnt in front of the stove or finishing up a quilt, Carol treasured her conversations with her many friends. In a world where texting on a cell phone is considered normal, Carol understood the value of a face-to-face conversation and always made time to either visit or call those she loved.
Carol had lived in Madisonville since the late 1970s, coming from Zanesville, Ohio and was a member of the Second Baptist Church. She passed away on May 3, 2017 in Madisonville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Elmo Hall; grandson, Zachary Brister; two brothers and one sister.
Surviving family members include daughters, Elaine Blake of Madisonville, Karen Hopper (husband, Rufus) of Pasadena and Emily Ditto (husband, Ray) of Gause; grandchildren, Jerry Danny Kelly of Madisonville, Troy Hodges of College Station, Tera Blake of Bryan, Tori Moore of College Station and Haley Lyons of Alvin and ten great grandchildren.
