Graveside funeral services for Carole Ann Arnold, age 73, of Spring, Texas have been set for 11 A.M., Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at the Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Richard Booker will officiate the service. There will be no public visitation.

Carole Arnold was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 7, 1944. Her parents were Harold Ferns and Edith G. (Black) Ferns. She had lived in Spring for about ten years, having moved there from the Sharpstown Community of southwest Houston, Texas. Carole was a Christian. She worked as a ward secretary in several Houston area hospitals, the last one being Sharpstown General Hospital.

Carole was a natural caretaker of children, the elderly and animals. She had a tender heart for those in need of care. She gave care to her sister-in-law, Bessie Arnold, during the last two years of Bessie’s life. Carole was also very fond of her own children and grandchildren. She had two special pets that she dearly loved, “Buddy” and “G” (two dogs). Carole was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, James “Jim” Ferns and Mike Ferns. Carole passed away on Sunday afternoon, December 3, 2017, at a facility in Spring, Texas.

Surviving family includes her husband, Martin Arnold of Spring; a son, Richard “Rick” Arnold of Houston; a daughter, Melissa “Missy” Arnold of Spring; a brother-in-law, Guy Lippe and his wife, Suzanne, of Bryan; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kay Hendricks & Mark, of the Houston area and two grandchildren, Sean Akkas and Catherine Arnold, both of the Houston area.

Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
