Christopher Michael Gorman

January 12, 1976 — July 16, 2025

Bryan, Texas

With heartfelt sorrow, we share the passing of Christopher Michael Gorman on July 16, 2025. Born January 12,1976, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Chris had a rugged charm and a heart as big as the sky—always ready to help without being asked. His generosity wasn’t reserved for close friends or family—it extended to neighbors, coworkers, even strangers who crossed his path.

Across twenty years and many roles at NRG, Chris built a reputation as someone who could always be counted on.  He took pride in doing every job the right way, treating others with fairness and respect no matter the task.  His coworkers knew they could depend on him—not just for hard work, but for the kind of steady support that made the team stronger. Chris wasn’t just trusted—he was deeply valued.

Chris was, above all else, a true family man. His love for Debbie and their children, Nick and Kristi, was the heartbeat of his life. Their connection was built on respect, laughter, and a shared commitment to one another that never faltered. Chris placed his family at the center of everything—his decisions, his time, his heart. Whether cheering from the sidelines of the soccer field or the mat at a wrestling match, he made sure his kids knew how proud he was. He endlessly encouraged them, celebrating every step forward.

Time spent with family and friends was Chris’s greatest joy. Chris loved family vacations—they were his favorite way to be close to the ones he loved and build memories that would last a lifetime. He also loved hosting gatherings at home, where laughter echoed through every room and people always walked away with a fond memory—and usually a pretty funny story to tell. His home was a welcoming haven filled with strong drinks, good food, and the kind of connection that made everyone feel like family.

Chris had a deep love for dogs, especially his late companions Rosco and Yogi Bear, who held a permanent spot in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Gorman. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children, Nick "Meathead" and Kristi "Sis;" his mother, Josephine Titley (Chuck); his sister, Dana Tim (Pat); mother-in-law, Victoria Cummings (Art); sisters-in-law, Maria Cukrzynski (Steve) and Nichole Rodgers (Nick); brother-in-law, Greg Cummings (Debbie); along with nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Northway Christian Community Church, 12121 Perry Highway, Wexford, Pennsylvania 15090.  A separate celebration of Chris’s life will follow from 3 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Cenci’s Pizzeria & Bar, 3005 Fairport Lane, Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania 16066.
