Gloria Ann Wright

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Wright, a beloved mother, grandmother, musician, and cherished friend, who left this world on November 25, 2025, in Centerville, Texas, at the age of 75.

Gloria was born on April 15, 1950, in Watford City, North Dakota, to Howard and Gladys (Holzworth) Martin. Her spirit was ignited at a young age, and her passion for music led her to join the band "Naked Country," where she shared her remarkable talent as a bass guitarist and singer. Her love for music took her across the northern United States and Canada, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

In her later years, Gloria found solace in the quiet beauty of Madison and Leon Counties, where she resided on and off for the past decade. She cherished the moments spent with her children, and reveled in the love of her grandchildren whenever her health allowed her to be a part of their lives. Family was everything to Gloria, and her nurturing spirit and warmth will be profoundly missed.

Gloria had a zest for life that extended beyond her love for family; she found joy in western movies and had a remarkable collection of Indian artifacts. She had often traveled alongside her late husband, who worked on the pipeline, embracing every adventure life offered her.

Gloria was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, James Wright; and brothers, Larry and Gene.

Surviving family members include children, Latricia Driscol of Missoula, Montana, Michael Rogers (Nancy) of Arlee, Montana and Nichole Lummus (Carl) of Centerville; sister, Fay Chamberlain of Idaho; grandchildren, Lacey Ketchum (Savanah) of Nacogdoches, Tyler Ketchum of Midway, Autumn Lumpkin of Huntsville, Garrett Lummus of Centerville, and Brady Potts (Rainey), Logan Potts (Savanna), Riley Rogers (Jordan), and Sydni Rogers, all of Montana; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A time of visitation will be held on December 12, 2025, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas, where friends and loved ones will gather to celebrate Gloria's life and the indelible mark she left on all of us.

As we remember Gloria, may we find comfort in the melodies she cherished and the memories she created. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her laugh, her stories, and her music will resonate with us forever. Rest in peace, Gloria. You will be dearly missed.
