Gene Watson, 92, was born September 27, 1925, and passed away February 24, 2018. Gene was born in Marquez, Texas, to parents Donna Leo Wilson and Richard A. Winn, Sr.

Gene was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Emmett Orlean Watson. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Jean Watson; son, Lance Emmett Watson; daughter-in-law Kathy Watson; granddaughter, Lily Katherine Watson; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Her life celebration will be held Thursday, March 1, at 10:30 a.m. at the Marquez United Methodist Church, corner of loop 208, Marquez, Texas 77865, where her grandfather was a founding member in the year 1919. Interment will follow in the Marquez Cemetery on Highway 7, Marquez, Texas.
