Funeral services for Jack Klinger, age 98, of Mexia, Texas and formerly of Centerville, Texas will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.  A committal service will follow in Concord Cemetery with military funeral honors rendered by the U.S. Army.  A brief visitation will take place the morning of the service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Klinger passed away December 10, 2022 in Mexia, Texas.  He was born May 13, 1924 in Amarillo, Texas to Howard A. & Jennie Alma (McPherson) Klinger.  Jack served his country in the U.S. Army/Air Force during WWII as a B-17 Bomber-Pilot. He retired as a Petroleum Landman.  He had moved to Centerville from Huntsville and had lived in Centerville since 1985.  Following the death of his beloved wife, Glora, Jack moved to Huntsville and then to Mexia to be near family.  He was a member of the Jewett United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening.  Jack was also an expert harmonica player and played up until his passing.

Jack was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Glora Klinger; brother, Max Klinger; sister, Muriel (Klinger) Hill and son-in-law, Danny Bisbee. 

Surviving family members include sons, Howard Klinger (Jan) of Huntsville and David Klinger of Mexia; daughters, Carol Finnegan (Mike) of Mexia and Linda Bisbee of Midland; grandchildren, Michael, Carrie, Shawn, Amy, Cory, Andrea, Jessie and Lisa; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Brock, Cora, Max, Lula, Destiney, Clayton, Adaline, Uriel, Miriam, Josh, Reed and, as well as, great-great-grandchildren, Emma, Felix, Adeline, Jonas and Drew and one boy on the way.

Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas is entrusted with final arrangements.
