Jan Cornell Mol, 84, of Buffalo, Texas passed away on May 3, 2022 in Palestine, Texas. Jan was born on August 30, 1937 to John Micheal Mol and Merril Mae Gindratt in Centerville, Texas. He was described as independent, inventive, artistic, talented with his hands, and a loving father with a great sense of humor. Jan enjoyed bass fishing, deer hunting, and spending time with his dogs, Lightning and Buck.
Jan was preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers, Micheal Mol, Anthony Mol; sister, Suzanne Mol; grandmother, who he loved, adored, and was always there for, Mammy Gindratt; and dog, Lightning. He is survived by his son, James Homer Mol of Houston, Texas; daughter, Dr. Loyce Mol of New York; brother, Jon Mol (Louise); nephew, Steven Mol of Cleveland, Texas; niece, Tina Mol of Kingwood, Texas; great-nephews, Dillon Mol, Wyatt Mol; great-niece, Harley Mol; and dog, Scooby.
A graveside service for Jan will be on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Leona Cemetery, Leona, Texas. Richard Dahlgren will officiate the service.
Arrangements are under entrusted to Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
