Jefferson Lee Lott

Jefferson Lee Lott, a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, was born on May 24, 1956, in Lufkin, Texas, to Jack and Virgie (Scott) Lott. He passed away on August 9, 2025, at his home in Normangee, Texas.

Jeffery was a true Texan at heart, making Normangee, Texas his home since 1986 after moving from Spring, Texas, with his dear wife, Eva (Thrasher) Lott. He was most recently employed by Monterrey Mushrooms and had a passion for the outdoors that was evident in everything he did. Whether he was driving his tractor across the pasture, tending to his vegetable garden, or enjoying a day of hunting, trapping, and fishing, Jeffery found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Jeffery also enjoyed spending time with his family during gatherings.

Jeffery was preceded in death by his father, Jack Lott and sister, Jackie Lott, as well as his favorite pets, Dinky, Pop Tart, Patch and Shorty.

He leaves behind his mother, Virgie Lott of San Augustine, Texas; loving wife, Eva Lott, of Normangee, Texas; son, Jefferson "B.J." Lott Jr. of Madisonville, Texas; and sisters, Margie Lipton of Canada, Mary Owens of Beach City, Texas; and Shirley Flint of Palestine, Texas. Each of them will remember him for his warm heart, his generous spirit, and his love for life. Jeff will always be remembered for his laughter, his joy for living, and his love for the outdoors. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service is not planned at this time.
