John William Gladden

John William Gladden, age 76, of Leona, Texas passed away peacefully November 22, 2023 in Centerville, Texas. He was born February 25, 1947 in Birmingham, Alabama to parents, James Kelly & Florence (Winkle) Gladden. At a young age, John served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Corporal. He received his college degree from Texas A&M and later retired as a Registered Mechanical Engineer.

John was preceded in death by both of his parents. Surviving family members include beloved wife, Frances "Fran" Gladden of Leona; adored daughters, Laura Horacefield (Paul) of League City and Sara Nash (Robert) of Leona; treasured grandchildren, Britton Nash, Taylor Horacefield, Megan Horacefield and Clayton Nash and niece, Lynne Mosley Gresham of Oregon, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

The Gladden family wishes to extended their sincere appreciation and thanks to the following: Irene Villarreal, Jannis Matthews, Accent Home Health, Texas Loving Care and Cass Valley Health Care Center; all of whom took excellent care of John.

A private graveside service is scheduled for a later date.
