It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Elaine Hill, who left this world on May 26, 2025, in Bryan, Texas, following an extended illness. Born on March 26, 1941, in Houston, Texas, Judy was a beloved daughter of the late John Bennett and Willie Faye (Wallace) Bouse. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Benny Bouse, and her sister, Darla Rowan.
Judy spent her life as a devoted wife to her husband, Jimmy Hill, and a dedicated homemaker to her family. She was known for her warm spirit and unending devotion to her loved ones. An active and faithful member of Marquez Baptist Church, Judy found great joy in her faith and in the community she cherished.
Judy was a proud master gardener, becoming the first certified master gardener in Leon County, Texas. Her passion for flower gardening brought beauty not only to her own home but to the lives of those around her. Judy often spent her leisurely hours in her beloved "she-shed," where she delighted in scrapbooking, preserving precious memories for her family.
Known for her competitive spirit, Judy had a playful side that brought joy and laughter to many. She loved games and would fiercely compete, seeing that her friends and family would always strive to do their best, but also ensuring that she never lost.
Judy's memory will forever be cherished by her loving husband, Jimmy Hill of Marquez; son, Jon Hill (Susan) of League City; daughter, Joanie Hill (Cathy Martinez) of Seguin; grandchildren, William Hill (Claire) and David Hill; as well as numerous extended family members, special friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In celebration of Judy's life, a memorial service will be held at Marquez Baptist Church on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11 A.M., where family and friends will gather to honor her remarkable life and the impact she made on all who crossed her path.
The Hill family invites all who knew and loved Judy to join them in remembrance, sharing stories, laughter, and love in honor of a wonderful woman who touched so many lives.
As we say goodbye, we celebrate a life well-lived and a spirit that will remain forever in our hearts.
Final arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
