Funeral services for Margie Sue Stewart, 77 of Madisonville, Texas, will be held at 3 P.M., Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Madisonville Christian Fellowship Church in Madisonville. Pastor Wade Phillips will officiate the service, and interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery, north of Madisonville. A visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, September 10th from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.
Margie Sue Stewart was born on June 23, 1939 in Kansas to Jack & Pauline (Padfield) Koon. She was a very spirited woman and enjoyed playing pranks on people from an early age. She continued to do this until she left this earth. Margie was an excellent painter. She enjoyed painting with oils and had recently taken classes to paint with water colors. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed reading books. Margies favorite food was fried chicken, especially when served in a buffet so that she could eat as much as she wanted. Margie gave her whole heart to people and was thought of as an angel on earth by many. Her daughter, Laura, considered her not only a mother, but as her best friend.
Margie passed away on September 7, 2016 in Bryan, Texas. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and son, Todd Nicklas. Surviving family members include husband, Wilton Stewart of Madisonville; daughter, Laura Nicklas & wife, Cheryl, of Richmond; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Nicklas of Sealy and grandchildren, Brittany Brown, Sydney Palacios, Aaron Brown, Holly Godbolt, McKenzie Nicklas & William Nicklas. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Emma Pavlock, Ayden Mendoza, Mia Palacios, Amiyah Godbolt & Paityn Godbolt.
