Martin R. Arnold, left this world on October 16, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on May 18, 1941, in Seabrook, Texas, to Alexander Randolph Arnold and Ella (McGill) Deck, Martin lived a full and vibrant life in the Sharpstown community of Houston, Texas.
For many years, Martin dedicated himself to the oil and gas industry as a civil engineer, applying his expertise and passion for his work until his retirement. Outside of his professional life, he was a man of diverse interests and talents. Martin had a profound fascination with all religions and engaged in fervent study of the Bible throughout his life. He was also a gifted photographer, capturing life's moments with an artist's eye, which earned him several awards that celebrated his remarkable vision.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Martin found joy in refurbishing classic cars and spent many happy hours turning old treasures into beautiful machines. Though he enjoyed hunting in his younger years, what truly defined him was his unwavering love and commitment to his family. Most importantly, he was a devoted caregiver to his wife, Carole, cherishing every opportunity to care for her.
Martin's love for animals was evident, and he often shared fond memories of his beloved dog, Buddy, with a smile that reflected his hope of seeing him again someday.
Martin was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Carole Ann Arnold; sister, Bessie Arnold; and his dog, Buddy.
Martin is survived by his loving son, Rick Arnold of Houston; cherished daughter, Melissa Arnold of Spring; grandchildren, Sean Akkas and Catherine Arnold; and brother, Guy Lippe who will always hold a piece of Arnold's spirit in their hearts.
