It is with both heavy hearts and joyful memories that we celebrate the life of Marylin Ann Zoch, 81, who peacefully passed away on October 9, 2025, in Centerville, Texas. Born on September 22, 1944, in Navasota, Texas, to Thomas Calford and Ruth Marie (Taylor) Largent, Marylin was a radiant light in the lives of her family and friends.
On October 9, 1962, Marylin married her beloved Kenneth Zoch, forming a bond that lasted an incredible sixty-three years. Their love story is one for the ages, filled with laughter, love, and countless adventures throughout their life together. Marylin lived in the Centerville community for forty-three years, where she became an integral and familiar face of the area.
As a devoted homemaker and the matriarch of her family, Marylin loved her family more than anything else. Her heart shined brightest in her role as a grandmother, as she devoted countless hours to sewing clothing for her grandchildren. Her creative spirit thrived through her love for crafting, whether it was sewing, gardening, canning, or making beautiful jewelry. She was a true presence in each of her grandchildren's lives, teaching them the value of creativity, love, and hard work.
Marylin was also a cherished member of the Cowboy Church of Leon County, where she found joy and community among fellow members. Her generosity and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Marylin was preceded in death by both of her parents; sister, Melinda Restivo; grandson, Joshua Farris; great-great-granddaughter, Kaislyn Rae Lee; and brother-in-law, John Zoch.
Marylin is survived by her devoted husband, Kenneth Zoch of Centerville; children, Kim Wood (Gypson) of Centerville, Calvin Zoch (Dawn Farris) of Centerville, and Annia Tubbs (Jerry) of Sanger; grandchildren, Bryan Farris (Lizzy) of Conroe, Georgiann Bailey of Covington, Clayton Tubbs of Slidell, Jerrett Zoch of Austin, Cheyanne Golden (Travis) of Buffalo, Cameron Tubbs (Nikki) of Ft. Worth, Carson Tubbs (Ashley) of Sanger, and Wyatt Wood (Cheyenne) of Centerville; great-grandchildren, Tanner Swearingen (Trace), Gavin Lee, Trinity Warner, Aubree Tubbs, Lena Sale, Madelyn Cheely, Taylyn Tubbs, Brayden Wood, Caterina Bailey, Brystol Brumley, Ansley Wood, Brianna Farris, Graysyn Tubbs, Lilliyn Tubbs, Olivia Tubbs, Calvin Tubbs, and Tripp Golden; great-great-grandchildren, Jaxon Swearingen, Quinnlee Swearingen, and Ariah Herbert; brother, Tommy Largent (Fran) of Conroe; sister, Pam Gressett (Buddy) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother-in-law, Danny Zoch (Becky) of Nasa Bay; and sister-in-law, Carol Zoch of Mobile, Alabama, as well as a host of extended family and special friends. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
A funeral service to honor Marylin's life will be held 10 A.M., Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Pastor of the Cowboy Church of Leon County, Tuffy Loftin, will officiate the service. Following the service, Marylin will be laid to rest in New Salem Cemetery. A time of visitation and fellowship will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Monday, October 13, 2025, at the funeral home.
