Melvin Louie Moore, Jr. was born November 9, 1967 in Houston, Texas. His parents were Melvin Louie Moore, Sr. & Wanda Darlene (Chandler) Watson.

Melvin had worked as a guard for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and had lived in Leon County since 2005, coming from Baytown, Texas. He was a private person and preferred to keep to himself. Melvin’s past times included computer and board games. He passed away at his home on his fifty-third birthday, November 9, 2020.

Melvin was preceded in death by both of his parents and step-father, Billy Bush Watson. He is survived by brother, Marcus Moore of Centerville; nephew, Tyler Moore of College Station; maternal grandmother, Kathy Chandler of Cullman, AL; aunt, Becky Chandler of Rye and uncle, Herschel Chandler, Sr. of Sipsy, AL. Melvin is also survived by numerous cousins and a host of extended family and friends.

A private memorial service will be announced for a later date.
