Funeral services for Opal Wied, age 80, of Kingwood, Texas, will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, October 10, 2020 at New Salem Cemetery Chapel in the Centerview Community of Leon County, Texas. Following the services Mrs. Wied will be laid to rest in New Salem Cemetery. Mrs. Wied passed away October 6, 2020 in Kingwood, Texas.

Opal Faye (Richey) Wied was born April 14, 1940 in Centerview, Texas to parents, Grover Cleveland & Minnie Etta (Kuhn) Richey. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; late husband, J.R. Wied; son, Keith Wied and sister, Virgie Dinsmore. Surviving relatives include son, Wayne (Marcia) Hearn; daughter, Sonia (Randy) Jumper; grandchildren, Shane, Kevin & Jeremy Jumper & Hannah Hearn and great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Katlyn, Katie, Kolton & Scarlette Jumper.
