Ralph Lee
Aydelotte
December 5, 1951 — September 25, 2026
Jewett, Texas
Ralph Lee Aydelotte, born December 5, 1951, in Arnold, Nebraska, died September 25, 2026, in Waco, Texas.
Ralph lived with a strong sense of purpose and a deep enjoyment of the pursuits that mattered most to him. He served two active duty enlistments in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, an enduring measure of courage and commitment that remained part of the story of his life. Those who knew him also knew the satisfaction he took in skill, precision, and fellowship. He was an avid gun collector and reloader, and as a member of the Buffalo Gun Club, he found both community and enjoyment in a pastime he valued greatly. He especially loved welcoming family for holidays and sharing time together at his own gun range, creating gatherings marked by conversation, tradition, and the pleasure of being together.
At the heart of Ralph’s life was his family. He is survived by his brother, Jim Aydelotte; his wife, Grace Aydelotte; and children, Jennifer Henkelmann, John Henkelmann, and Jacquie Henkelmann Hardy, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In their companionship and shared years, and in the bond of brotherhood and family, Ralph’s memory will continue to be carried forward with affection.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Chittenden Aydelotte; his father, Robert Lefler Aydelotte; and his brother, Roy Aydelotte.
Ralph will be remembered for his service, for the pride he took in the things he knew well, and for the welcome he extended to those he loved. His life leaves behind memories of steadfastness, enjoyment honestly earned, and family moments that will not be forgotten.
Final arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas -- A Walters Family Funeral Home.
