Regina Gale Walter

November 8, 1959 — March 17, 2022

Gina Walter, 62, of Buffalo passed away March 17, 2022 in Tyler, Texas with her loving husband, Brent, by her side. She was born Regina Gale Delacerda November 8, 1959 in Pasadena, Texas to parents, James Burles & Mary (Cale) Delacerda. Regina married Brent Walter and they soon started a family that would yield three lovely children, Nesha, Brent, II and Joseph.

Gina was a faithful and devoted wife to Brent and loving mother to their children. She loved her family and taking care of them. Brent worked as a policeman in Houston with an unpredictable schedule that kept him from home quite often, but Gina never complained or voiced her displeasure. She was always grateful for her husband and proud of his hard work. They made the perfect team as husband and wife. Gina and Brent moved to the Leon County area in 1998 where the remaining of their children at home completed high school and soon left to begin their lives away from home. When they married and had children of their own, Gina wholeheartedly accepted the role of grandmother and doted on her grandchildren every chance she had. She absolutely loved being a grandmother.

Gina was preceded in death by both of her parents and mother-in-law, Lois Walter. She is survived by husband, Brent Walter of Buffalo; children, Nesha (Gregory) Flagg of Splendora, Brent (Ashley) Walter, II of San Leon and Joseph (Skylar) Walter of New Caney; siblings, Lee (Monty) Linquist of LaPorte, Terry (Paula) Delacerda of Conroe and Denise Delacerda of Deer Park and grandchildren, Callie & Jayde Flagg and Adeline Walter. Gina is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Funeral services honoring Gina’s life will be held 2 P.M., Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery. A brief visitation will be held from 1 P.M. to service time March 23rd at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Leon County Law Enforcement Association, P.O. Box 814, Centerville, Texas 75833.
