Ricky Dale Gunther

Ricky Dale Gunther, age 65, passed away April 6, 2023 at his home in Flynn, Texas. He was born June 7, 1957 in Staten Island, New York and raised in Pennsylvania, but preferred to call Texas his home state. Ricky worked as a mechanic most of his life. In his free time, he enjoyed working on CB radios, drawing and working on his many train sets he had made over the years. Ricky especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He had lived in Flynn for the past twenty-two years, coming from Daingerfield and Madisonville, Texas.

Ricky was preceded in death by both of his parents and brother, George William Gunther.

Surviving family members include wife, Shelia Gunther of Flynn; children, Jeremie Scott of Thornton, Christopher (LaSheena) Herron of Buffalo, Athena (Randy) Robinson of Normangee and Perry-ann Gunther (Terrance Nellums) of Flynn; sister, Leighann Rutledge of Pennsylvania; twenty-two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Alice Scott of Madisonville; sister-in-law, Terpsichore Evans of Normangee and brother-in-law, Nathan Scott of Madisonville.

A memorial service for Ricky is planned for a later date to be determined.
