A funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Robert Eugene Melcher, age 80, of Cypress, Texas, and formerly of Rockdale, Texas, will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.  Pastor Marvin Martin will officiate the service.  A brief visitation will take place at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 1 P.M.  Mr. Melcher will be laid to rest in New Salem Cemetery in the Centerview Community of Leon County, Texas.
