In Loving Memory of Robert G. Ramos
December 23, 1943 – October 1, 2026
Robert Gilbert Ramos, born December 23, 1943, in Galveston, Texas, to Mollie and Rafael Ramos, passed away on October 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, service, and love for his family.
Robert spent many years working for RCA in Houston before beginning a career in law enforcement, where he continued to serve his community with pride and commitment. He began his law enforcement career in Freestone County under the leadership of J.R. “Sonny” Session before moving on to Leon County, where he served under Royce Wilson as well as Mike Price and Jerry Wakefield. Robert eventually retired from law enforcement after 30 yrs, closing a meaningful chapter of service to the communities he called home.
Above all, Robert cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Pam Ramos, and a loving father to his daughter, Sharra Grissett. He also shared a special bond with his stepchildren, Donna Breedlove and her husband, John; DeWayne Hagler and his wife, Fedeline; and Buddy Hagler and his wife, Peggy. His family continued to grow through his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him joy and will carry his memory forward for generations to come.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mollie Meyer Ramos; his sister, Mary Cleveland; and his brother, Ralph Ramos.
Robert will be remembered for the life he built, the work he devoted himself to, and the family he loved. His years in law enforcement reflected his commitment to serving others, while his greatest legacy lives on through the many loved ones who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain a lasting part of the lives he touched.
A memorial service honoring Robert will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 2 P.M. at the home of Kurt & Jennifer Ansley, 10412 CR 272, Buffalo, Texas 75831. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Robert’s life, share memories, and celebrate the impact he made on those who knew and loved him.
