Ronald Dale Anderson, fondly known as Dale, departed this life on January 20, 2026, in Centerville, Texas, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife, Donna. Born on July 11, 1959, in Baytown, Texas, Dale radiated warmth and joy, embracing life with an infectious spirit that lingered long in the hearts of those fortunate to know him.

As a dedicated union member of Bricklayers and Craftworkers in the chemical industry, Dale spent many years honing his craft, securing a legacy built on hard work and respect. Dale was a graduate of Humble High School, and became known by variety of nicknames that he carried throughout his life-"Hippie Dale," then "Hippie," and finally, simply "Hip," for his erstwhile long hair. It was later in Centerville that Dale enjoyed his final years with Donna, after relocating and quickly becoming a familiar face at Langley's Grocery, where he crafted a new identity as "R.D." to distinguish himself within the local tapestry.

Dale's passions were as vibrant as his personality. An ardent lover of the outdoors, he relished any opportunity to hunt and fish, with memorable adventures ranging from dove hunting trips to the Hill Country of Texas with his brother, Mike, to tranquil afternoons spent at Matagorda Bay aboard his cherished boat. A proud dog owner throughout his life, Dale fostered unbreakable bonds with his beloved hunting dogs-Way To Go Hunter's Marsh (Hunter) and Macy's Marsh Good For The Soul (Macy)-as they accompanied him on myriad escapades.

Dale's warm spirit extended seamlessly into his personal life, with cherished memories woven from countless vacations taken with his wife and extended family. His travels, especially the cruising experiences through captivating Caribbean waters, painted a vivid backdrop to the joyous moments shared with his loved ones. His relationships with family were profound; he held close ties to every sibling and valued the wisdom of his late father, Leo Henry Anderson; mother, Veta Katherine Blackburn Martin; and step-father, Walter Wayne Martin.

Among his proudest accomplishments was his enduring love story with Donna. From their adolescent days-when Donna first became smitten with Dale at just thirteen years old-to their beautiful wedding on August 18, 1984, they crafted a partnership that flourished over forty-one remarkable years. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and countless adventures, continually inspired by each other's unwavering passion for life.

Dale's legacy will also live on in the hearts of his loving family, which includes his beloved wife, Donna Sue Richmond Anderson of Centerville; son, Michael Logan Anderson of Centerville and siblings: twin sister, Rhonda "Gale" Gothard of Crosby; sister, Colleen Lemoine (Phillip) of Splendora; and brother, Michael Henry Anderson of Sargent. He is also remembered by his step-siblings, Karen Sullivan and her husband, Dennis of Centerville; Memory Lynn Hunter and her husband, Ronnie of Humble; and Dave Wayne Martin and his wife, Valerie of Magnolia; half-brother, William Morris "Billy" Anderson; and numerous extended family members and special friends who shared in the laughter and love that defined Dale's life.
