Rosa Lee (King) Pate

“Mimi”

Rosa Lee (King) Pate was born September 13, 1930 on the Ridge out from Centerville, Texas, to John Walter and Mary Katherine (Wilkins) King. She married James Alvin Pate on August 26, 1950. She lived in the Centerville area for all but a few short years when she and Alvin moved to Dallas for work. After they moved back to Centerville she worked at several jobs in town. But she took the most pride in being a homemaker. She always put her family first and always made sure she took good care of them. She was a very good cook and there was always plenty of food on the stove or table when her kids were growing up. She was a very loving mother to her kids and loving “Mimi” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was visiting with her family and keeping up with everyone . She always wanted to know where everyone was, how they were doing and what was going on with them. Her world revolved around her family. She was baptized in Boggy Creek as a young adult and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She passed away February 15, 2023 at the Texas Loving Care Assisted Living in Madisonville, Texas.
