Funeral services for Tra Hickey, 39, of Buffalo, will be held at 3 P.M., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Pastor Phil Smith will officiate the service and interment will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery. A public visitation will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Friday, November 18th at the funeral home.
Tra Marshall Hickey was born on February 19, 1977 in Altus, Oklahoma to Alton Bencil, Jr. & Charlotte Elaine (Gratham) Hickey. He worked as a superintendent for R Construction and had lived in Buffalo for the past eight years. Tra loved motorcycles and attending motorcycle rallies. He also enjoyed fishing and watching football. His favorite NFL team was the Dallas Cowboys. Most of all, Tra loved his two girls and enjoyed every minute spent with them and the rest of his family.
Tra passed away tragically on November 15, 2016 in Bryan, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Nicole (Tanner) Hickey of Buffalo; daughters, McKenzie & Hannah Hickey of Buffalo; father, Alton Hickey, Jr. & wife, Hazel, of Vernon; mother, Charlotte McClure of Canton, Missouri; brothers, Alton Bishop Hickey & wife, Jessica, of Burlington, Iowa, David Lee Poston of Maude, Oklahoma and Bubba Smith & wife, Heather, of Durant, Oklahoma and sisters, Kayla McKee & husband, Lee, of Burlington, Iowa, Michelle Sutterfield of Durant, Oklahoma and Misty Moody of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Tra is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Alton, Sr. & Flois Hickey of Vernon and his maternal grandmother, Eddie Rectnor of Quanah.
Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
