Tyler Alfredo Pastor

Tyler Pastor, 18, of Willis, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, October 28, 2025. Tyler was born on November 7, 2006, and his life will be celebrated on his birthday, November 7, in Centerville, Texas. It will be a day to honor the light, laughter, and love he brought into this world.

Tyler was a kind soul who was never afraid to express himself. From the time he was little, he carried a free spirit and always found ways to stand out. Whether it was highlighting his hair or speaking openly about his feelings, Tyler had a natural way of making people around him feel seen and heard.

He grew up with a passion for gaming and anime, often dreaming of one day traveling to Japan. As he got older, he developed a deep love for music and found joy in concerts where he could feel the rhythm of life and connect with others through sound.

Tyler had a special bond with his friends, both near and far. Many of his gaming friends became like extended family, spending countless nights laughing, competing, and sharing memories together. To those friends, he was more than just a teammate; he was someone who could make everyone smile and feel welcome. His friendships, both online and in person, brought him so much happiness and will forever be part of his story.

What everyone will remember most about Tyler was his smile. It was wide and genuine, stretching from cheek to cheek and brightening any room. Beneath that smile was a heart full of love, even if he sometimes felt shy about showing it.

From his mother, Gigi:

My most precious memory of my son Tyler is from when he was younger and playing soccer. He was always so involved with his looks. I remember one game when he stopped chasing the ball just to ask me if his hair still looked good. That moment always makes me smile because it showed his fun, carefree personality and how much he loved to express himself.

From his brother, Daniel:

One of my most special memories was from the day I returned home from the Navy. Tyler had called asking to go shooting together. After setting everything up, Tyler took his first shot and hit a perfect bullseye. The joy on his face in that moment and the pride in my heart captured who Tyler was: full of excitement, warmth, and promise.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Gigi V. Pastor; his father, Lazaro A. Pastor; his brother, Daniel Pastor; his aunts, Odlias Pastor, Illena Pastor, Marie Ramos, and Irma Villegas; and the loving support of all his uncles, extended family, and friends who cared deeply for him. The family is especially grateful for the many loved ones who drove and flew down to be by their side during this difficult time, showing the strength of the bonds Tyler helped create throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Francisco A. Pastor; his grandmother, Dr. Lydia Pastor; and his grandmother, Maria Espinosa.

Tyler’s presence was a gift and a reminder of what it means to live openly, love freely, and smile brightly. Though his time here was short, his light will continue to shine in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

A celebration of Tyler's life will be held 2 P.M., Friday, November 7, 2025, at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
