Vella Jean Stowe Malek, 69, of Alvin, and formerly Bryan, Texas, went to meet her Father, Jesus, on Sunday, December 23, 2018.

Born in Crockett, Texas on May 17, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Hardy H. Stowe, Bernadean Stuart Long and step-father, Joseph M. Long, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Shelley D. Studebaker and husband, Dax, of Loveland, Ohio and Holly N. Sulayman and husband, Fuad, of Lake Forest, Illinois. Jean’s beloved grandchildren are Brittany, Griffin, Loa, Rowan and Phoenix.

Jean is also survived by two special brothers, David M. Long and Joseph M. Long, III and wife, Jean, and five nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 11 A.M. with services starting at 1 P.M., Friday, December 28, 2018 at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. A graveside service will follow at Parker Cemetery in Crockett, Texas.
