February 28, 1948 — April 5, 2020

Mr. Wiley “Bill/Duke” Washington, aged 72 wonderful years, of Fresno, Texas, passed away at home April 5, 2020. Mr. Washington fought a long battle with lung cancer. He Won!!!

Mr. Washington is preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Ethel Reeves; parents, Joe Lee & Evelyn Pearl Washington and brothers, Joe Lee, Elmer Gene and Arthur Lee Washington.

Mr. Washington is survived by his children, Stanley Keith Washington, Misty Seanette Washington and Resheesta Latrece Washington; grandchildren, Ebony Maxwell, Trayell Washington, Tiara Johnson, Rayvian Farrington, Courtney Washington, DaMeria Washington, Asianna Washington, Tymon Simpson, Ta’Mya Simpson, Jyreion Washington and K’Niya “Tink Tink” Lyons and great-grandchildren, Brandon Brignac, Jr., Cameron Taylor and Ava. He is also survived by siblings, Obie George Washington of Ft. Worth, Texas, Charlie Joe Washington of Houston, Texas, Nora Lee Washington of Dallas, Ora Lee Washington of Hillsboro, Texas and Mary Joe Washington of Hillsboro, as well as, sister-in-law, Florence Washington of Houston and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

Mr. Wiley Washington was born on February 28, 1948 in Leona, Texas to Mr. Joe Lee and Evelyn Pearl Washington. Mr. Washington attended school in the Leon County District. Mr. Washington completed his education at Perkins High School. He then moved on to start a long lasting career as a mechanic with Southwest Chrysler Plymouth in Dallas, Texas (1968-69), Port City Chrysler Plymouth in Houston, Texas (1969-88) and Helfman Ford in Houston, Texas (1988-retirement).

Mr. Wiley Washington was devoted to spending time with family, taking care of his children and going to the Casino.

Private graveside services for Mr. Washington will be held 1 P.M., Friday, April 10, 2020 at Culton Cemetery in Leona, Texas. Michael Washington will officiate the service. A viewing will be held from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas (limit to 10 people at one time).

Pallbearers: Uncle Truman, Uncle Wilmer, Uncle Coakie, Tim Washington, Uncle Walter, Uncle Charlie

Arrangements are entrusted to Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
